Utah State Fair Taste of Utah Event
I am a huge fair fan. Growing up, we lived just a few miles from the county fairgrounds and we had an awesome fair. I entered things in the fair, walked through the exhibits, rode the rickety fair rides, and ate the deliciously bad-for-you fair food. It was an annual event I looked forward to.
I had the Utah State Fair written on my calendar for a couple months and was especially excited when I heard about the Taste of Utah event sponsored by Utah’s Own that was held on Sept. 13, noon to 8 pm. Our whole family took the opportunity to sample old favorites, try new ones, and meet the wonderful people who produce Utah’s finest local foods. If you didn’t make it in person, look for the event next year and be there. We will. Until then, here’s a visual sampling of a few of the companies and a list of each of our favorites.
Laure’s Buffalo Gourmet – all-natural tortilla chips and salsa in a variety of flavors. I loved the Sundried Tomato & Basil and the Black Bean & Garlic chips.
